A free AI rap video maker that runs entirely in your browser
AIRapVideoK is a free, browser-based AI rap video maker. You upload one or two photos, the tool finds each face and puts it on a cartoon rapper, the characters bob and lip-sync to a built-in 100 BPM hip-hop beat, and you rap the lyrics in your own voice or let an AI rap voice perform them. The result is a vertical 9:16 MP4 of about 21 seconds, the right size and length for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Most "photo to rap video" and talking-photo apps upload your selfie to a server, make you create an account and charge per video. AIRapVideoK takes the opposite approach. Face detection, animation, voice recording, AI voice generation and video encoding all happen locally on your phone or computer, so your photos and recordings never leave your device. There is nothing to install and no signup, and the standard 720p export is free.
It was built for one simple, very shareable format: the rap battle video. Put your face on the left and your friend's on the right, pick a diss-battle or bestie template, and trade bars line by line. Prefer to perform alone? Solo mode turns a single selfie into a hype debut, an everyday flex or a birthday rap.
How to make a rap video from a photo in 3 steps
Going from a photo to a finished, postable rap video takes about a minute. Here is the whole process:
-
Upload your photo
Choose Duo Battle (two rappers) or Solo, then tap Upload photo. Use a clear, front-facing photo with good light; iPhone HEIC photos work too. The face is detected automatically and placed on the character you pick: Rap star, Boss suit, Hoops star, Astronaut or Dino onesie. Drag, resize or rotate the mouth sticker until it lines up.
-
Record your rap
Pick a lyrics theme or write your own seven lines. Press Start recording, wait for the one-bar intro, then rap along with the karaoke-style captions; the name that lights up tells you whose line it is. Headphones keep the beat out of your mic. Not feeling it? Switch to AI rap voice and generate vocals in a male or female voice.
-
Export & post to TikTok
Tick the photo-permission box and hit Export MP4. On a phone, tap Share to TikTok / Instagram, or download the file and upload it from your gallery. Add a caption like "Who won? 👇" and your video is ready to go: vertical, 9:16, about 21 seconds, with captions already inside the safe zones.
Tip: before recording, hit ▶ Preview once or twice so you know the flow of the beat. You can record as many times as you like, and only the latest take is used.
Everything you need for a viral rap battle video, with no editing skills required
Photo to rapping character
Automatic face detection crops your face onto a bobbing cartoon rapper with a lip-synced mouth sticker. It works with selfies, group shots (one face per slot) and pet photos with a clear face.
Duo Battle mode
Two photos, two rappers, alternating lines (A, A, B, B, A, B) and a shared hook at the end. It is made for tagging a friend and getting comments like "who won?".
Record your own voice
On-screen karaoke captions, a one-bar count-in and a latency slider keep your vocals on the beat. Your real voice is what makes the video funny and personal.
AI rap voice
Camera shy? Generate vocals with a lively male or bright female AI voice, adjust the speed (1.0× to 1.5×) and add "Yeah / Uh" ad-libs. The AI voice also runs locally in your browser.
Lyrics templates or your own bars
Diss battle, Besties, Birthday shout-out, Hype debut, Everyday flex and My birthday, or type your own seven lines. Use {a} and {b} to drop in names automatically.
Characters, scenes & stickers
5 outfits, 5 backgrounds (color stage, studio, neon club, retro sunset, street wall), 6 theme colors and 4 mouth styles (white grin, gold grill, red lips, none).
TikTok-ready export
Exports a 9:16 vertical MP4 (H.264 + AAC) at 720p for free. Captions are placed inside TikTok's safe zones, and you can toggle a safe-zone overlay to check.
Private by design
No uploads, no account and no cloud storage. Close the tab and everything is gone. We only count anonymous page events to improve the tool.
What can you make with an AI rap video maker?
Rap battles with your best friend
The classic. Put your face against your friend's, roast their outfit, their Wi-Fi and their parking, then post it and let the comments decide who won. Duo Battle videos tend to get shares because the person in the video almost always reposts it.
Birthday rap shout-outs
Forget the plain "HBD" text. Pick the Birthday template, put the birthday person on stage, and send a 21-second rap they will actually remember. It works in group chats, on Instagram Stories and on TikTok.
Couple, sibling and roommate battles
Who does the dishes? Who stole the last slice? Write seven lines about it and settle the argument in rap form. Custom lyrics make inside jokes land.
Creator intros and hype videos
Solo mode's Hype debut template turns your profile photo into a quick intro rap for a new channel, a stream or a launch post, with no studio, mic setup or editing app needed.
Classroom and team fun
Teachers and team leads use rap videos for recaps, welcome messages and end-of-term shout-outs. Just make sure everyone pictured has said yes.
AIRapVideoK vs. typical AI talking-photo and lip-sync apps
If you are looking for the best free AI rap video maker, here is how a browser-based, privacy-first tool compares with the usual cloud apps:
| Feature | AIRapVideoK | Typical cloud AI video apps |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free 720p export | Credits or subscription |
| Signup | Not required | Account usually required |
| Photo upload to servers | Never: processed on your device | Uploaded and often stored |
| Use your own voice | Yes, with karaoke lyric guide | Often AI voice only |
| Two-person rap battle | Built in (Duo Battle) | Rare |
| Wait time | About 60 seconds, no queue | Minutes in a render queue |
| Output | 9:16 MP4, about 21s, TikTok safe zones | Varies; often needs cropping |
| Install | None, works in Chrome, Edge and Safari | App download often required |
The trade-off: AIRapVideoK uses a stylized cartoon look rather than photorealistic face animation. A realistic human-motion version is planned as an optional paid upgrade.
Frequently asked questions
Is AIRapVideoK free?
Yes. Making, previewing and exporting a 720p MP4 is completely free, with no signup, no credits and no daily limit. Free videos carry a small AIRapVideoK watermark. Optional paid upgrades (no watermark plus 1080p, a realistic human-motion version and a pro AI rap voice) are coming soon. You can leave your email in the tool to be notified, but you never have to pay to make and post a video.
Do you store or upload my photos?
No. Your photos and voice recordings are processed only inside your own browser. Face detection, animation, AI voice and video encoding all run on your device, and nothing is sent to our servers. When you close or refresh the tab, everything is gone. The only data we collect is anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics (for example, "a video was exported") and, only if you choose to give it, your email for the launch notification. See our Privacy Policy.
How do I post my rap video to TikTok?
- Tap Export MP4 and wait for the progress bar to finish.
- On a phone: tap Share to TikTok / Instagram and choose TikTok. If you don't see that button, tap Download MP4. On iPhone, open the file and choose Save Video so it goes to Photos.
- On a computer: download the MP4 and upload it at tiktok.com/upload, or send it to your phone.
- In TikTok, tap + → Upload, pick the video, add a caption like "Who won? 👇" and tag your friend.
The video is already 9:16 and about 21 seconds, so you don't need to crop or trim. If you exported "Vocals only", you can add a trending sound inside TikTok.
Why is there no sound on my iPhone?
The most common causes, in order:
- Silent mode is on. Flip the ring/silent switch (or the Action button) so the phone isn't muted. Web audio on iPhone follows the silent switch.
- You're inside the TikTok or Instagram app browser. These in-app browsers block the microphone and audio export. Tap ··· → Open in browser to use Safari, then try again.
- The page hasn't been tapped yet. iOS only starts audio after a tap. Press ▶ Preview once before recording or exporting.
- The audio option is set to Silent. Under Export → Audio, choose Beat + vocals.
- The iOS version is old. Update to the latest iOS so Safari supports the video and audio encoders the tool needs.
If the downloaded MP4 plays silently in Files but has sound in Photos, that's an iOS preview quirk, and the video will have sound on TikTok.
Can I use my own lyrics?
Absolutely. Templates are just a starting point. Edit the seven lines in the Lyrics box: in Duo Battle the pattern is A, A, B, B, A, B and then a shared hook, and in Solo it's six verse lines plus a hook. Seven to ten words per line fits the beat best. Type {a} and {b} anywhere to insert the rappers' names automatically. Your lyrics appear as on-screen captions and are what the AI voice will rap if you choose it. Please keep it friendly and don't post harassment, hate speech or false claims about real people.
Can I use a photo of a celebrity or someone else?
Only photos you own or have clear permission to use are allowed. That means you, or friends and family who have said yes. Photos of celebrities, public figures, minors without a guardian's consent, or anyone who hasn't agreed are prohibited by our Terms of Use, and that's why the tool asks you to confirm before exporting. Using someone's face without permission can also violate TikTok's rules and the law where you live.
The microphone doesn't work. What should I do?
- When the browser asks for microphone access, tap Allow. If you tapped Block, open your browser's site settings for airapvideok.com and switch the microphone to Allow, then reload.
- On iPhone: Settings → Safari → Microphone → Ask or Allow. On Android Chrome: tap the lock icon in the address bar → Permissions → Microphone.
- Close other apps that might be using the mic, such as calls, voice memos or other tabs.
- In-app browsers (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat) usually can't record. Open the page in Safari or Chrome instead.
- Still stuck? Choose AI rap voice, which needs no microphone.
My voice is off-beat. How do I fix the sync?
Bluetooth headphones and some phones add a small delay. Use the Vocal sync slider under Rap Vocals: drag it right if your voice sounds late, left if it sounds early, then press Preview to check. Wired headphones or the phone speaker at low volume give the tightest timing. Wait for the one-bar intro before you start rapping, and follow the highlighted line.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
Recent versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari on Windows, macOS, Android and iPhone/iPad. Firefox works for preview but may export more slowly or in a different format. Very old phones may struggle with the AI voice, which downloads a voice model the first time (tens of MB, cached afterwards). In-app browsers inside TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat limit the microphone and downloads, so the tool shows a yellow banner telling you to open it in your normal browser.
Export is slow, stuck or failed. What can I do?
- Keep the tab open and in the foreground while exporting. Phones pause background tabs.
- Close other heavy tabs and apps to free memory, then try again.
- Make sure you're not in an in-app browser or a private window with storage limits.
- Update your browser. Fast MP4 export uses WebCodecs, which is available in current Chrome, Edge and Safari.
- On older devices, export usually takes 20 to 60 seconds. That's normal, because the video is encoded on your device and not on a server.
Can I upload iPhone (HEIC) photos?
Yes. JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC/HEIF photos are supported, and HEIC is converted automatically in your browser. If a face isn't detected, try a brighter, front-facing photo where the face fills a good part of the frame without sunglasses or heavy shadows. You can always fine-tune the mouth sticker by dragging, resizing or rotating it.
Do I need to sign up or install an app?
No. AIRapVideoK is a website that works like an app. Open airapvideok.com, make your video and download it. There are no accounts, no passwords and no app store downloads. On a phone you can use "Add to Home Screen" if you want one-tap access.
How long is the video, and what format is it?
Each video is about 21 seconds: a one-bar intro, six verse lines and a hook over a 100 BPM beat. The output is an MP4 file (H.264 video and AAC audio) in vertical 9:16, 720×1280 on the free tier. That fits TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat Spotlight and messaging apps without cropping.
Can I remove the watermark or use videos commercially?
Free exports include a small watermark. A no-watermark 1080p option is coming soon; tap No watermark + 1080p in the tool to join the waitlist. You're welcome to post your videos on personal and creator social accounts. For paid ads or commercial campaigns, you must have commercial rights to every face and every lyric in the video. Contact us if you need to use the built-in beat commercially.
